The Japanese Pokemon TCG set Glory of Team Rocket, scheduled for April 18, 2025, has generated enormous community excitement with its villain-centric theme. The set features Team Rocket-themed cards with dark artwork and special rare variants that call back to the original Team Rocket expansion from 2000.

Full art and SAR cards from the set have leaked ahead of the official reveal timeline, showing Giovanni, Jessie, James, and their signature Pokemon in dramatically stylized illustrations. The nostalgia factor is driving significant pre-order demand.

Collectors have drawn comparisons to the 151 set release, which similarly leveraged nostalgia for the original generation. That set produced several $100+ chase cards and maintained strong secondary market values months after release.

For English-speaking markets, Team Rocket-themed content typically arrives 3-6 months after the Japanese release, likely appearing in a fall 2025 or early 2026 English set.
