The One Piece Card Game continues to experience growing pains as demand outstrips supply for the OP-10 expansion. The set's chase card, a Gear 5 Luffy leader, has climbed to $35 on the secondary market, up from $20 at release.

Bandai has struggled to maintain adequate print runs for the English-language version of the game, a recurring issue since the TCG's Western launch. Hobby stores report allocation cuts of 30-40% on recent sets, forcing many to implement purchase limits.

Despite supply challenges, the competitive scene is thriving. Regional tournaments have seen steady attendance growth, and the game's simplified-but-deep gameplay continues to attract players from both the anime community and other TCGs.

Bandai has committed to increasing production capacity for the second half of 2026, but collectors remain skeptical given similar promises in previous years.
